Please be advised the CDC's non-safety related recall of H1N1 vaccine does not apply to the lot numbers that have been used by the Township of Union Department of Health in either Kenilworth or Union. The vaccine lot numbers ordered by the Health Department are safe.

The effectiveness of the recalled vaccine was slightly below the antigenic standards but CDC and FDA agree that this lower standard will not impair the effectiveness of the vaccine already administered.

Therefore, the CDC is not recommending the revaccination of persons who have received vaccine from the effective lots.
