We, the undersigned, are opposed to the reactivation of the Staten Island and Rahway Valley Railroad through the communities of Roselle, Roselle Park, Kenilworth, Union, Springfield and Summit. We want the Union County Board of Freeholders to uphold its agreement with the Morristown and Erie Railway stating that the rehabilitation will not commence without the concurrence of both the local municipalities and the County. We want the Union County Board of Freeholds to halt all work on this project and uphold their responsibilities to the welfare of these communities and take the necessary steps to stop this reactivation.
