Planning Board Minutes from 1/24/2002
 

The meeting began with the pledge of allegiance and a reading of the Sunshine Law (Open Public Meetings Act).

The following board members were present: Mr.Lepore, Mr. LoForte, Mr. Tripodi, Mr. Rica, Mr. Schlenker, Mr. Schultz, Mr. Vitale, and Mr. Beninati. Mr. Rica made a motion to accept the minutes December 20, 2001 and January 3rd re-organization meeting, 2nd by Mr. LoForte. All in favor. Mr. Schultz made a motion to pay the Board Attorney and Recording Secretary, 2nd by Mr. Lepore. All in favor.

COMMUNICATIONS

Mr. Schlenker annonuced the New Jersey Planning Officials Association will be holding Orientation sessions in March. The nearest to Kenilworth will be in the Elizabethtown Gas Company on Morris Avenue in Union on March 9, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The following members volunteered to attend with Mr. Schlenker: Mr. Lepore, Mr. LoForte, Mr. Vitale, and Mr. Beninati.

RESOLUTION

A motion was made to accept and vote into a resolution for Application #03-01, a fence variance for Mr.& Mrs. Mooney at 314 North Michigan Avenue. Only those members who attended the meeting of December, 2001 could vote: Mr. Beninati, Mr. Vitale, Mr. Schlenker, Mr. Rica, Mr. LoForte. All in favor.

A motion was made to accept and vote into a resolution for Application #04-01, a three-family dwelling owned by Tomasso Pugliese at 480 Washington Avenue. The following members voted in favor of the resolution: Mr. Beninati, Mr. Vitale, Mr. Schultz, Mr. Schlenker, Mr. Rica, and Mr. Lepore. Mr. Schlenker said part of the resolution stipulates that parking be restricted to the rear of the

Property, the yellow curb be re-constructed on Washington Avenue, and there will be no parking on the Washington Avenue side.

NEW BUSINESS

Application #07-01 for 374 Boulevard for 2 Satellite Dishes on the roof will be re-scheduled for the February 28 meeting because the local papers were not properly notified (no later than 10 days prior to meeting). Comcast was not available prior to these Satellite dishes being installed.

Application #08-01, for a rear cantilevered dormer at 340 Maplewood Avenue will also be re-scheduled because the owners failed to notify the local papers.

CONCLUSION

Mr. Vitale made a motion to adjourn, 2nd by Mr. Rica at 8:25 p.m. All in favor.
