FACILITIES COMMITTEE

MEETING OF JANUARY 19, 2005

Initial Meeting of the Committee

Present were Committee Members: Mayor Gregg David, Councilman Edward Galasso, Councilman Frederick Soos, Police Chief William Dowd, Borough Clerk Hedy Lipke and George Wittman – Schering-Plough.

The Committee discussed the following possible Options:

1. Add on to the present Building
2. Rent space
3. Obtain (purchase) a building
4. Build a new facility (for Police) if can purchase land (possibly Cross Street property)

Also discussed was the possibility of selling the Girl Scout property, which is Borough owned, for funding.

Next steps:

1. Gave floor plans of Borough Hall to George Wittman to review
2. Attempt to get plans of the Buynak Building
3. Get a Space Planner (Schering?)
4. Councilman Soos to check if the Borough is getting the $200,000 Grant from the State.

Next meeting of the Facilities Committee was scheduled for Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. at Borough Hall.
